Excelitas Technologies Corp., a Waltham, Massachusetts-based provider of customized photonic solutions, has acquired Axsun Technologies of Billerica, Massachusetts.
Axsun specializes in the development and production of MEMS-based optical engines for medical imaging, industrial spectroscopy and telecommunications applications. The addition of Axsun expands the range of high-performance products for Excelitas’s Life Science and Industrial OEM customers seeking a single-source to meet their photonics systems requirements.
Axsun will continue operating from Billerica, Massachusetts, as it is integrated into the Excelitas Technologies organization.
