3D Printing, UV LED & Inkjet Take Center Stage at uv.eb WEST
uv.eb WEST 2015 will take place March 10-11 at Crowne Plaza Redondo Beach and Marina Hotel in Redondo Beach, CA.
Excitement is building for uv.eb WEST 2015, which will take place March 10-11 at Crowne Plaza Redondo Beach and Marina Hotel in Redondo Beach, CA. A diverse range of presentations will cover topics that include UV LED, UV inkjet, printing and packaging, industrial coatings and more. 3D printing will take center stage through a keynote address and educational activities. The tabletop exhibition, which is sold out, will feature more than 40 exhibitors showcasing their latest innovations.
RadTech International North America, the trade association for UV and EB curing technology and host of uv.eb WEST, recently announced an initiative to advance the development of photopolymer resin-based 3D printing. The initiative will be formally launched through a variety of activities at the conference, including presentations from Jason Lopes from Legacy Effects, Brian Adzema from Autodesk and Michael Idacavage from PL Industries.
Idacavage also will preview his new online 3D printing course – Basics of UV Curable 3D Printing – which will provide an overview of the chemistry and technology behind UV 3D printing processes. The course was developed by the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF) in partnership with RadTech. Learn more about this new course at www.radcuring.com.
A UV 3D printing committee, with a focus on technology and education, also will convene at uv.eb WEST. The group will address the development of appropriate and consistent environmental, health and safety documentation as a resource for 3D printing suppliers and users. “UV-cured 3D printed products often are considered the highest quality currently achievable,” says Idacavage, chair of the new committee. “In order to make the best use of the capabilities of UV-curable 3D printing, it is very important to have a solid understanding of the many factors involved. RadTech – through uv.eb WEST and the UV 3D printing committee – is positioned to serve as one of the best resources for anyone interested in this technology,” Idacavage said.
Registration for uv.eb WEST includes admission to all presentations and to RadTechs annual Winter Meeting, which will feature discussions regarding new initiatives in the organizations 3D Printing, Automotive, Wood and Printing and Packaging focus groups, as well as admission to the tabletop exhibition, continental breakfast both days of the conference, a luncheon and reception on March 10. In addition, all registrants will receive a copy of all conference presentations sent via email. Register by Feb. 27 to receive the special conference rates.
