Upcoming Conferences and Continuing Education
Opportunities abound – in person and virtually – for industry wide conferences, workshops and continuing education in 2015. A few opportunities for your consideration have been listed below:
uv.eb WEST 2015
RadTech International North Americas uv.eb WEST 2015 will be March 10-11 in Redondo Beach, California. The conference will include a suite of educational activities highlighting new initiatives to advance the development of photopolymer resin-based 3D printing. Presentations will include Jason Lopes of Legacy Effects, Brian Adzema from Autodesk and Dr. Mike Idacavage, PL Industries, who also will be previewing his new online 3D printing course, “Basics of UV Curable 3D Printing,” which was developed in partnership with SUNY ESF. Register online by February 27 at uvebwest.com.
SUNY-ESFs Basics of UV-Curable 3D Printing Online Course
The Radiation Curing Program at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF) announces the Basics of UV-Curable 3D Printing short course. Students will learn the language and concepts of UV-curing technology and how it applies to 3D printing, and various modules will provide a broad overview of the science, materials, equipment and processes used in UV-curable 3D printing. Short courses can be completed in four to six hours and can be taken at the student’s pace during a four-week period. Start dates are March 2, April 1 and May 1. In addition to this course, registration is open for four other online courses, including another short course on the principles of energy curing and an advanced graduate-level radiation curing certificate program.
