SUNY-ESF/RadTech Webinar Series Resumes July 12
The next webinar in the series sponsored by State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Syracuse, New York, and RadTech International North America, Bathesda, Maryland, will focus on updates to the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
The webinar – The New TSCA and Acrylate-Based Products – What To Expect – hosted by Martha Marrapese, partner, Keller and Heckman LLP, will take place from 2-3 p.m. EDT on July 12. It will cover new provisions of the law for new and existing chemicals; the implementation, compliance and enforcement effects of the new law; and forecast requirements for UV/EB curing in various applications, including wood, automotive and conventional and 3D printing. The impact on manufacturers, importers, formulators and end-use customers also will be covered.
Originally signed into law in 1976, the act gives the Environmental Protection Agency the authority to require reporting, record-keeping and testing requirements, and restrictions relating to chemical substances and/or mixtures. It addresses the production, importation, use and disposal of specific chemicals. On June 22, 2016, President Obama signed the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act, which updates the TSCA.
