RadTech International North America, Bethesda, Maryland, is embarking on a multi-association effort to explore the potential of working with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to develop Threshold of Regulation (TOR) exemptions for UV/EB inks and coatings.

As part of that effort, the RadTech Printing and Packaging Committee would like input on problems the industry faces in food contact applications. This information will be used as a way to guide committee activities by, for example, sponsoring a study or developing regulatory efforts.

RadTech encourages all ink, coating and adhesive manufacturers for food packaging applications to take the survey. The contact information of those taking the survey will be kept strictly confidential. RadTech will not share any contact information associated with the submissions.

General responses from this survey will be presented at RadTech’s next member meeting, which will follow the UV+EB Packaging Conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 24-25. For more information on the conference, visit www.radtech.org/uveb2017.
