Jo Ann Arceneaux passed away on April 7, 2022, at her home in Marietta, Georgia, at the age of 67, surrounded by family after battling kidney cancer for the past two years. Arceneaux was a longtime contributor to RadTech and the field of UV/EB technology.
Arceneaux attended Louisiana State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry. She then went on to earn a Ph.D. in physical organic chemistry from Northwestern University, and, in 1986, she began a 34-year-long career working in the field of photochemistry where she was widely respected for her knowledge and leadership.
Arceneaux most recently served as manager of Technical Service and Business Development at allnex, where she primarily was responsible for providing technical service and support to the Radcure business unit of allnex, including both customers and the sales organization, and for offering technical leadership to the New Business Development market segment for Radcure, according to the company.
She had been a RadTech Board Member since 2015, and a Co-Chair of the UV-LED Committee since 2012, and she had been selected by RadTech’s members to serve as the organization’s president before health concerns interfered with her ability to serve. She will be deeply missed by her colleagues and friends in the industry.
Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Frank Kurtis Willard; her daughter, Katie Willard, and son-in-law, Daven Khana; mother, Alice Arceneaux; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and John Haller; and many nieces and nephews.
