Excelitas Technologies Announces Consolidation Plans to Strengthen Noblelight Operations in Germany

Press release submitted on behalf of Excelitas Technologies.

Excelitas Technologies, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a leading provider of advanced, life-enriching technologies, acquired Noblelight® from Heraeus in January 2024 and is moving swiftly to optimize operations and efficiencies. By the end of 2027, the four production facilities dedicated to the development and manufacturing of Noblelight products currently located in the Rhine-Main region of Germany will be consolidated into a single expanded site in the same region. Excelitas expects to invest more than $20 million in this initiative with the objective of improving operational efficiency.

Excelitas currently produces Noblelight products including UV LEDs and lamps, analytical light sources and infrared emitters and systems within four facilities outside of Frankfurt, Germany. This new location will be the center for specialty lamp-based lighting and will include operations, R&D and administration.

“We are strengthening our operational position for continued production of Noblelight technology in Germany,” says Excelitas Noblelight Managing Director Roland Eckl. “This investment will make us more unified, more efficient and ultimately more competitive!”
