The Application Deadline for the 2025 UV+EB Degradability Challenge is Approaching

Press release submitted on behalf of RadTech.

RadTech, Chevy Chase, Maryland, the association for UV&EB technology, has announced the application deadline for the 2025 UV+EB Degradability Challenge is approaching! Don’t worry there is still plenty of time to prepare your submission before March 31.

The 2025 UV+EB Degradability Challenge aims to promote research and development of degradable materials that utilize UV+EB technology. The challenge is open to submissions that detail recent or ongoing projects, as well as new research proposals informed by existing work or literature.

RadTech invites researchers, material scientists and companies across the product development spectrum to submit materials that demonstrate degradability or have a strong theoretical basis for breaking down in specific environments. Eligible materials include but are not limited to:

  • Degradable or compostable components used in UV+EB formulations
  • Finished UV+EB products (e.g., electronics, food packaging)
  • UV+EB inks, coatings, and adhesives compliant with degradability certifications
  • 3D printing resins that can safely degrade

Though federal support for research is becoming uncertain, RadTech is steadfast in its dedication to science and innovation.

Applications will be evaluated by an expert panel based on technical innovation and commercial viability. Winners may be awarded an expenses-paid trip to RadTech 2025 in Detroit, MI, where they’ll have the opportunity to present their work to the RadTech community. Additional prizes may be granted for exceptional contributions.

Deadline for submissions is March 31, 2025.
