Roland DGA Adds Belt-Driven Hybrid UV Printers

Roland DGA Corporation has announced the addition of two new belt-driven hybrid UV printers to its VersaUV LEC2 S-Series. The hybrid inkjets use a conveyer for increased versatility. The new hybrids maximize creative options by printing directly on rigid or flexible substrates and roll-to-roll substrates.

The LEC2 S-Series belt-driven hybrid printers offer outstanding image quality and print speeds, as well as faster loading and unloading times. Both are capable of printing directly on materials or 3D objects. The added roll-to-roll functionality enables users to create longer retail signs and print thicker roll media like natural or synthetic leather, felt, rubber mat and plastics.

The belt-driven hybrid models use specially formulated GREENGUARD Gold certified wide-gamut EUV5 inks. The belt-driven hybrid printers are equipped with a signal beacon that highlights the printer status. The belt-driven hybrid printers include VersaWorks 6. VersaWorks 6 has a Harlequin RIP dual core engine and a special Color Plate Generation.
