Gigahertz-Optik Inc. Opens Calibration Facility

Press release submitted on behalf of Gigahertz-Optik.

Gigahertz-Optik GmbH, Amesbury, Massachusetts, has set-up its own optical radiation calibration lab at its facility in Amesbury, MA. The US office now offers calibration services for certain Gigahertz-Optik light measurement instrumentation. Presently calibration is limited to the most commonly ordered hand-held spectroradiometers used in LED photometry and colorimetry, flicker and phototherapy applications.

Dr. Ralf Zuber, head of GO GmbH R&D recently visited the newly opened lab:
“It was a great pleasure to meet the excellent team of Gigahertz Optik GmbH GO Inc. at their Amesbury, Massachusetts branch, near Boston, for a few days. The team not only offers excellent technical advice and after-sales support, but also has set up a small calibration laboratory in close cooperation with the headquarters in order to offer direct on-site recalibrations. This enables us to reduce the recalibration period required in America and thus better meet our customers’ needs.”

Traceable calibration is available for the following instrumentation with two week lead time:
• Spectroradiometers: BTS256-LED, BTS256-E, BTS256-EF, MSC15, MSC15-Bili, CSS-45, CSS-45
• Filter Detectors (Feb 2025): VL-3701, VL-3702, VL-3707, UV-3725
• Meter Series: X1, P21, P-9710

Adding instrument calibration capability will be an on-going effort.
