02/24/2025 by sandy

Press release submitted on behalf of Boston Electronics.

Boston Electronics, Brookline, Massachusetts, specialists in photo-detection and photon generation, including photon counting systems and components, ultraviolet (UV) or infrared (IR) detectors and light sources, released the VioBeam-1X1. The product is an ultra narrow beam, high-power UV LED module that can be used for collimation, fiber coupling and focused illumination applications. The module combines a high-performance deep UV LED (255 nm/265 nm/275 nm/295 nm/310 nm), an integrated 10° fused silica TIR optic and a compact heatsink. Delivering up to 0.1 W optical output in an exceptionally focused and precise beam, the VioBeam-1X1 is ideal for spectroscopy, life science and fiber coupling applications.

The company also offers 255nm UVC LED in SMD, COB and array packages with medium and high output. LED size, power and field of view vary, providing the customer with multiple product options.

Additionally, Boston Electronics offers superior SiC UV sensor products (photodiodes, hybrid sensors and radiometers) which are available to conveniently purchase from their web store.  The company also carries a full line of UV sensors from sglux.
