Press release submitted on behalf of Hoenle.
Hoenle’s Business Unit Curing, Gilching, Germany, will present its UV curing and drying systems at PSTC Tape Week in Louisville, Kentucky, in May 2026. As a development and solution partner for the printing, packaging, converting and tape industry, the German UV Technology specialist will showcase its latest innovative and smart curing systems.
For decades, Hoenle has been a trusted partner of the tape industry, with its customized curing and drying systems used worldwide in a wide variety of converting applications. At PSTC Tape Week, Hoenle will showcase a selection of its conventional UV and LED curing systems like the tried and tested LightGuide and the powerful LED Powerline, which can be tailored to individual customer needs in terms of application and machine environment. Hoenle is renowned for their Inert-UV solutions which ensure efficient and uniform curing on delicate and temperature-sensitive materials. The residual oxygen content in the irradiation area can be reduced to below 50 ppm. This significantly enhances the coating’s properties regarding sensor sensitivity, migration behavior, and mechanical and chemical resistance.

A key feature for UV tape production is process monitoring. Hoenle offers a market-tested solution that will monitor the UV output (in the maximum energy area) to ensure the UV adhesive will maintain the desired mechanical properties once cured. Also available is the Ultra-High UVC DirectCure (with our technology partners IoT) system, which offers abundant output for the more complex UV adhesives.
True to their smart process approach, Hoenle’s new and unique UV dose measurement system, UV Scan MACS, with patented measuring technology, will be on display. This measurement system monitors UV dosage in the machine, delivering precise and reproducible results. UV Scan MACS can be used in most UV applications. It combines the highest precision with maximum user-friendliness to ensure process reliability and product quality.
Hoenle’s portfolio is vast and versatile: besides UV, LED, Inert-UV and UV Measurement, Hoenle offers Infrared/Hot Air, Excimer and Powder Sprayer systems. All these round off the entire spectrum for curing in printing, coating and converting applications.
Hoenle is committed to providing the right, customized solution for the tape industry and demonstrates its powerful partnership approach and comprehensive solution offering.
