LATEST PRODUCTS

Air Blast Cooler
The Air Blast Cooler is a simple, low-energy, closed-loop system that features an air-cooled heat exchanger that uses ambient air to remove heat. It provides efficient, low-maintenance cooling without water loss, contamination risk and avoids the use of regulated refrigerants (F gases), which face new EU restrictions in Europe from January 1, 2027.

Air Blast Coolers are specified to suit the GEW UV system and can be configured in tandem to provide cooling capacity at 20kW, 38kW or 56kW. They are standalone refrigeration units that can be ducted to atmosphere by the customer, if required. The master unit consists of an axial fan, heat exchanger, filter, pump, expansion vessel, fill tank and control cabinet. Slave units consist of an axial fan, a heat exchanger and a filter.

Air Blast Coolers typically consume around 50% less energy than chillers because they eliminate the need for compressors. Watch Robert Rae’s LinkedIn video to find out more about our Air Blast Cooler: Watch video here.

DoseGuard Laboratory Unit
The second new product is the DoseGuard Laboratory Unit, which is the perfect quality control system for any pressroom with multiple GEW UV-equipped machines. It offers a fast, simple and accurate method to measure the UV output of any GEW UV Arc or LED cassette across its entire width under standard conditions. The system can analyze any GEW cassette manufactured since 2000.

How does the DoseGuard Laboratory Unit work?
The DoseGuard sensor is mounted inside the Laboratory Unit, below the lamp mounting position. When a cassette is inserted, the unit will run the lamp at the selected power level and scan the entire length of the lamp. Irradiance in mW/cm2 is measured, and UV dose at any speed is calculated for easy comparison of expected curing performance. Warning levels can be set to easily identify non-conforming cassettes, and data can be simply exported via USB in Excel format.
