Hampford Research, Inc., Stratford, Connecticut, a manufacturer of specialty chemicals, has announced the promotion of Steve Finson to Research Fellow.
Finson received a B.S. degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University. He continued his education at Florida State University, completing three years of graduate work in photochemistry. Finson joined HRI in 1982 as technical director, a position he has held for more than 39 years. In 2019, he was awarded a patent for his work on unique synthesis methods for water soluble HABI. Finson is a member of the American Chemical Society and upon retirement will take a position on Hampford’s Technical Advisory Board.
